filled with glee
i spent $88 on alterations alone for a tee shirt plus 3 dresses today (obviously i didn't try to bargain at all). X_X! and guess what? for one of 'em (a bow dress) which i cannot zip up, the tailor said i cannot gain anymore weight after alteration cos there isn't much cloth left in the inner seams for expansion :X though she said i could definitely lose some weight of course ahha! and i definitely agreed :X the dress was a perfect fit except for a particular area :X and she kept saying it's pretty and that it's a worthy buy. btw, it's the very first time i'm trying out the alteration service at this shop, so thankfully she's friendly, patient and nice - she charges exorbitant fees for her services! but if it's for a job well done, i believe it's worth it.
and after which, i went for a fringe cut. saddeningly enough, my favourite hairstylist had resigned. apparently he had gone back home to his own country, which is such a pity because he's the 2nd hairstylist i've met who really cuts my hair well, and actually takes the time and effort to make it perfect. the last time i went for a cut, which was just before the CNY, i had to wait for my turn despite having made an appointment beforehand. while i sat there and stared into space, with only my thoughts to keep me company, he went to grab a magazine (the latest issue of female) for me. i was thrilled by the smart pick and really happy with his consideration. the first one i got to know quit too by the time i wanted to go back for a 2nd cut. ah well, perhaps there is some truth in that saying "good things never last forever" but i was blessed to have gotten at least 3 nice haircuts over the past couple of years since i first rebonded my hair. haha.
which reminds me, another favourite of mine has left. the girl from ECH who does good waxing. T_T now i have to settle for my 3rd and 4th choice of therapists because the 2nd has moved to the other branch which jiahui and i don't exactly frequent.
well, speaking of hairy matters, doo had his hair cut as well, and it's a cutiepie boy look which i love. heh heh. and while i was waiting, Her World kept me company this time around. as i briefly glanced through the pages (that mag has way too many advertisements, seriously), i caught my primary school's name along one of the many lines of this particular article about its current principal being the 2nd youngest among the 65 or so principals appointed by the MOE last year. and she happens to have been the head of creative arts at the secondary school i attended before she became the principal of my primary school! anyway, the youngest principal is currently the principal at crescent girls' school, which was where i schooled at for my secondary education. it's rather amusing to me to note that the schools i attended when i was younger now have the youngest principals heading them.
anyway, doo lost his phone before we went to check-in for our cruise today and he ran after the cab but obviously the driver didn't stop =/. thankfully though, the angmoh who boarded his cab after him was terrifically honest and we managed to collect the phone back from him at clarke quay. it was funny how they only understood english with the angmoh accent :X so doo practically had to fake one out all the time. i was like.. "can't they spot that it's (the slang's) fake?".. perhaps it doesn't seem fake to them so that's why some peeps can just fake it through, and fake it all and still be loved for what actually is fake.
ok that's all i wish to say for now :X
PLUS:
2 more days to the cruise, and i still can't decide what clothes to bring! and i'm meeting jiahui tomorrow for some fun and laughter which was supposed to happen today but she had serious matters to attend to, so there we have it! Saturday Day Fever! :D
