while i'm in the midst of preparing for my stats test...

doo and i have been thinking about having me over in manila for a short 5d4n trip before the whole action research proj begins, but he had just informed me that there's been a typhoon over in manila so its flooded and the roads are jammed everywhere.

we can only wait and see, and hope that the situation improves in time for me to book my flight ;) hopefully the air ticket prices will drop hehehe.

store update ;)!

just wanted to say.. that i'm so glad tha jiahui and han r enjoyin' the vs body wash i gave to jiahui heheheh.

aniwaes. the box at haji lane has been updated ;) its now filled with lots of kitsch goodness.

our latest addition! the birdie brooch :D

needless to say, the bird cage was painstakingly crafted and tweaked and twisted and tooted by doodoo. and the birdie n its cage was attached to the diamante pin by yours truly. with pliers! of which the experience proved to me (for the umpteenth time) that i have poor eye-hand coordination skills :X

i've also added 3 brooches, which aren't on display in my box but are pinned on the clothes that others are selling in the store. if the clothes that i have for sale are in the store as well i'd be sure to pin them on mine cos i already have in mind perfect pieces to match!

hmm. and though i like the nautical, quaint and vintage pearlies theme of each of the brooches, somehow or rather i do not fancy the angle in which this pic was taken because the beautiful, quaint, woolen brooch is actually more unique than the rest. and it isn't as tiny as what the picture pictures it to be :(

i miss my doodoo, and i'm obsessed with rompers.

i just blew $105 on a basic dark grey romper that is brandless, but self-designed and sown by some random designer in australia.

the only thing that i have to justify it is the fact that it has a very low scoop back, and ruffles all around collar from the front, and down to the back. PLUS. i am so mad about rompers now that i actually find myself hesitating when looking at dresses.

just last week i was chattin' up with mel and as we spoke and tried to come up with words to describe my choices of clothing, i finally found a word that could describe my dressing. contradictory. eg. casual but not too casual, cute but not too cute, feminine but yet one can't exactly say it really is explicitly feminine.

HAHA. what a discovery.

also, while i'm into rompers and shorts and casual yet not too casual blablas, mom handed me her approx 14-year old gucci shopper tote! XD was never mad about gucci, and this mid 1990s design with the regular gucci monogram in its usual shades of brown and signature striped green-red cloth straps is what i would call a plain tote. but what makes it special to me is that it brings with it all the charm that sentimental goodies bring (at one point in time, mommy used this with love and now she's giving it specially to me! and it's a bag i used to see her carry when i was a kid.), so yes - it shines so very brightly in my heart. i have decided to carry it with my lace-up back shorts and knitted beige tank as soon as i wear those. heheh. i also joked with my brother that if he was a girl (and my sister), my mom would have to find 2 bags so she could give one to each of us :X teehee!

ailay T_T

i can't help but feel that ailay is one of the amazing peeps i know.

even when she was angry, or perhaps upset, as she had just quarrelled her boyfriend, she still had the "cheek" to grab a couple of pineapple tarts for me, even though i hadn't asked.

though i laughed in disbelief, i felt touched, that even had such a intense moment she thought about me, simply at the sight of a couple of pineapple tarts. and thinking about me is one thing, she even had the drive and determination to bring them home by looking for tissue all around the place.

T_T if i had been an emo kid i probably would've weeped my eyes and heart out by now.

what can i say?

for a long, long time, i've not written at all (on this blog) as i've been busy with living a life without it.

well, doo has gone to manila and will be there for the next 3 months or so, so here i am.. back on this blog.

i've been frustrated with my research project.. as there can be so many ups and downs of it within a day. maybe because each time i plunged right down the only way is to go back up. so whenever i go back up it becomes such a joy (and suddenly almost all the apprehension disappears), but the next thing i know is that everything comes plummeting down again. unpredictable as it is, i guess my partner for this project, char, and i are just trying to cope with all that it brings.. and hopefully we'll manage to grapple our way through.

i've also been cooped up at home a lot on weekdays now. not because i want to, but because there's sth to hand in every day of this week and when there isn't, a test is smiling at me :) being at home allows me to be more active on pet society (while doo takes a break to do other things that he has to), and i guess it made me shop even more online :X life is crazy with a credit card but once you have one, it'll be crazier without it.

anyway, this is just a random update of sorts.. as with all other updates here.. so.. doo and i kicked off a box selling accessories at haji lane before he left for manila. that was just about 2 weeks ago.. and i haven't visited since so i am currently unaware of how its doing right now. however, i'll be going down to collect some purchases tomorrow with jiahui :X so perhaps we can take a look then. hmm. so here's a weetle peek of our humble lil bloo box.
