my love with the knotted dresses...

met up with reb again on wed. this time i kept talking and talking and i didn't even finish my food -_- it doesn't help as well that i'm a slow eater :X! hmm and also, that's the day i got my knotted-back dress in silver :D now the gold one has a friend! weehee!~ woohoo!~ perhaps those should be their names :X!

anyway, i shared with her about my spotting fake LV and how to spot fake LV adventures, which of course was shared with me by doodoo~ :X! as in.. doo and i exchanged a tip each on how to spot the fake LV haha.. which was passed on to reb by me.. haha! i think she enjoyed the info very much :X she said it was enlightening o_O! and her LV bag which was seated beside her was scrutinised for a brief moment to see if the info was indeed accurate/true or not. :X! as we went a lil deeper into carrying the fake and the real, she said that as long as one's conscience is clear (clear = its the auth, legitimate piece), it doesn't matter whether or not others thought or knew if it was real or fake. by legitimate i mean like the made in paris kind, not the made in a child-slavery house kind. we then talked about the usual stuff like work and school as well (both of which i wish i could take off my mind~~ but knowing that i am procrastinating doesn't help right?)~ and of course, i had to tell her more about the waraku jap pasta restaurant! yummy wafu sauce and spaghetti with the right amount of chewiness so you feel the oomph in every bite! i felt so bad & apologetic for yakking on and on (more than usual i think)~ it seemed as though it was a talkative Abby that day.

well then, on the other hand, amongst the other things we had in our conversations, reb shared with me about her irkful brush with a busker who was really, quite rude and almost shockingly rude~ (but listening to the experience was nonetheless entertaining) and then, later on in the afternoon reb brought me to THAT CD SHOP at pacific plaza and ooh~ she got for terrence a high society CD which comes in a sateeeeeeeen bag with the words high society embroidered in gold. someone else there was testing out the Chinese-Shanghai jazz CD from that collection and my oh my, it sounded lovely~ and for that, i have to thank her for that introductory trip of discovery!

we also went to MNG.. she had to walk in for the VIP sale because she didn't want to miss out! and lucky her.. she found a pair of super pretty pink shorts in the first branch of mango we went to (in about the same colour as my nails but i hate it when its on my nails). i didn't get it cos somehow or rather i don't look good in "longer" shorts. probably cos they make my legs look shorter.. so i'm afraid hot pants are the way to go HAHA :X~ well, what i got instead was a notebook of patent feel from the 2nd branch we visited. it looked like PVC with some cracked, textured matte foil underneath it. very pretty indeed - the kinda thing that looks fab to whip outta your bag, which both reb and i agreed, but i don't exactly see it as a need at this point in time~ so even though i bought it, i don't exactly know if i should keep it. anyway, reb thought it was funny that we went into that 2nd MNG to get a notebook after all that looking at a pair of shorts and a top which she tried on :X well i guess it is after all a clothing store~ and perhaps that's why even a notebook looks so wearable. it's a pity though, that most of their clothes really aren't (their umbrellas too. cute umbrella hook but ah ma design X_X. how disappointing). i guess when u're disappointed just by displays alone too often, soon enough, you wouldn't even bother stepping foot into the store (not that mango was ever close to a fave of mine, zara was always far better imo).

after we left each other, i walked into tangs to look for some lippie gloss (and bumped into funai while waiting for the bus home!). anyway, unfortunately no chanel or clinique could match up to what i was looking for~ i want the dior plastic lip gloss for plastic, vinyl-covered-like lips! and i finally found it online at a cosmetics site. a hefty price to pay considering 5-10% of the reviews i've read about it were pretty bad (like teeth staining, lips cracking?!) but i simply cannot resist the look of it. i need to try it on. besides, the other 90% of reviews were raves so i guess the whole issue of cosmetics and any kind of beauty product, treatment or whatsoever is seriously individualistic. the colour i got was impulsive rose, and it was a tie between that and capricious pink X_X! i spent last evening deciding on the shade. LOL.

i'm going off to see the skin specialist now, as well as meetup with Ailay ^^!~ everything's at orchard once again so i hope that we can move on to some other shopping area of Singapore. if only i knew the way to haji lane, then i could show her the quirky vintage-inspired stuff there haha~! but knowing myself, i'm absolutely terrible at directions - that's why i haven't taken my driving license (though there's actually the other reason which is poor spatial awareness, which i feel is crucial for parallel parking!).
