happie girls with new shoes :X

jiahui and i met at raffles yesterday.. for an appointment~ :X and our entire outing went something like this: Raffles Place >> Bugis >> Far East Plaza >> Shaw >> Wheelock Place >> Far East Plaza >> Raffles Place. this obviously shows how girls (shopaholics perhaps) shop - we shop with a heart and we follow where our heart leads us to and of course, go where it takes us to.

well, after we did what we had to do, we went to bugis to collect the earpiece which absent-minded me left behind at my previous visit to Polished Divas. then we walked around looking for this wire-twisted thing which can be made into a bracelet, necklace etc with your name on it as jiahui needed a present i think. well looks like it was gone with the wind and so we quickly moved on to far east plaza to do our nails. it was jiahui's first time with a pedicure.. and she asked me which colour i thought she should choose. i selected 2 which were almost the same, and told her i loved the shade and have always wanted to try it out. it is the dark hot-pink + red combi kinda shade which i thought i would've gotten at polished divas but alas! i got cheated by the dark ambience of the place into thinking that was what i was getting but noo.. i got a shock when i stepped out of the place into some light with that horribly unforgettable i-don't-wanna-look-at-my-toenails purplish-pink fuschia instead. eeks. i can't help but repeat this again. the colour bugs me everytime i look at my toes and i wouldn't if i could. anyway, jiahui decided to try out the colour which i always wanted and OMG it was gorgeous on her! muahahaha. how pleasing to the eye :)

and then, the 2 of us hungry girlies went for lunch at MOS burger. OMGOMGOMGOMG it was soooo packed and just when we were leaving for macs where we were hoping would be less crowded, an auntie who works at mos actually stopped us and said she'll find us a seat! she walked around the place full of determination but we knew there seriously wasn't any, so we turned around to walk out again.. and just when we took our first few steps, someone tapped us on the back and to our amazement, it was the auntie, who had secured 2 seats for us. ooh we were so grateful and somewhat speechless haha~

after lunch, we needed the ladies so i suggested Wheelock Place. while we were there, Jiahui was tempted to try her luck at a tikam tikam machine for a banana handphone dangle while I was tempted to visit substance, to which she obliged! YAY. there i spotted a pair of cream leather loafers which ARGH - was sold out in my size~ but the sales assistant said their branch at OUB plaza had it in a size larger (MY SIZE!) so i had to go down to try it out. jiahui liked it too but their smallest size was a 35 and was too big for her. before we headed over, we remembered that jiahui needs to have her belt changed and so we trotted back to far east like a horse (just kidding). she also had to go home asap to pack her room because her cousins were coming from m'sia for a stayover.. but after a while she decided she'd like to make a quick trip down to substance's other branch with mee (which i felt was worth it).

at substance @ raffles.. i was initially upset over the fact that i could fit into the shoes but they hurt as i walked (which meant they were a little too painfully small) but then the lady said they still have it in one size larger! HOW COOL WAS THAT? this is the first time in my entire period of patronizing substance that they actually have a size that's bigger than the largest size which they usually carry! HOORAY~ this means, i didn't have to struggle with those tiny shoes and be upset about not being able to buy them for that particular design i wanted! they fit well and were comfortably cushioned: <3<3<3! Jiahui decided to try on the 35's because extra insoles were provided and voila~ they fit better with those! =D I had to tell Jiahui what i felt about the shoes. I felt they were Perfect shoes for playing golf (but i don't) or looking like i play golf (though golf shoes aren't like that). I also felt they looked like casual yet rich shoes and she thought they looked sporty. well, they have the usual loafers front but the front's more shallow than the usual ones, and the back looks more like the plain ballet bumps kind so i'd say it looks girlier than the usual auntie-like loafers HAHA. :D ooh i'm so happy with the buy that i tried it on a couple of times at home! (remove from box, try on and keep it back in - repeat the cycle 100000 times).

we were also given a free express pedicure within the premises of substance (cool black interior with space for doing nails which followed the same colour scheme) which no matter how hard i tried to get jiahui to go for it, she wouldn't. so just after putting on My Private Jet yesterday, i already have another appointment for a change in colour, which i appreciate actually :D! and hmm i discovered that my private jet only looks good when worn on my fingernails.

soon enough, night fell upon the earth where the land is scarce (Singapore) and it was DINNERTIME! doo and i made our way to the sea sports club where our last visit was sth like hmm.. 1234567 years ago. the cab ride there reached a crazy $27.80 and the cab back was $24? what a MAD all time high in all of Singapore history! =/ well anyway doo's right - how often do we go there anyway? and besides, though i didn't say a word about the place, i felt happy that while seated in the shelter of a hut, we were close to palm trees, sea and sand (and the sound of planes flying by).

then came today~~ CHRISTMMAS DAY~~ mom had a lunch at our place for our relatives + the significant other halves of kor and mee. doodoo was "in charge" of slicing a hefty amount of the turkey and ham because he did it well, and so it is something i think he is proud of :P apart from being able to solve the rubik's cube. o.o he taught me a trick to make it look like i can solve it too. HAHA but the only prob being that i have to mess up the thing myself. -_-! stiill, it can look convincing to someone who doesn't know a thing about it yea? *grins*~
