i don't want to go to work on thursday
am thoroughly pleased with my chanelesque heels which i got together with doo last weekend :) what i was displeased about was the fact that as i walked down the street, i kaypoedly looked into another shoe shop and what i found horrified me :X the quilted chanelesque heels i purchased just minutes before were on sale at $4 cheaper than what i paid! LOL~
ahh anyway, i have way too mani shoes now that i scare doodoo with my collection. its a collection that's like the car bags one.. because it just keeps getting bigger :X
went shopping with Ailay yesterday, and wheehee! i bought nothing else but another pair of shoes again :X this time its a pair of black suedish pumps (SO SOFT) with 2 gold large chain-like hoops in front. i have so many shoes that i don't wear, so doo asked me why i keep buying them and when am i ever going to put them to good use. i said perhaps when we go on the cruise :X i'll have a pair of shoes for each of my outfits haha! he says i don't need to bring any clothes. my luggage'll just contain shoes and shoes and just shoes. ahh and Ailay and i went to substance :X (the shop where i have to get something everytime i go there, but its not because i have to, its just that i do. it comes so naturally). we saw a pair of sky high lace heels in pink, it looked so party but without the wild side of it. it was laced through with ribbons as well. OMG that was so nice. but guess what? the store was closed. maybe the sales assistant went for a break or something =/ and Ailay had to go already so we didn't manage to try on the shoes. i'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing :P anyway, Ailay bought a skirt.. and so we each got something HAHA.
then i went back home, and to my dismay, the stuff i ordered hasn't arrived :( it makes me worry when i opt for normal mail and things take longer than usual to arrive. but i believe its much faster than reg mail cos if nobody's home to receive the parcel, i'll have to make my way down to the not-so-nearest post office to claim it ONLY the next working day.
i'll be meeting Reb today at vivo. nothing much to shop for in my opinion. just the usual la senza, f21, topshop, and of course, just some place to sit down, have lunch, and chat half the time away! :)
and for some reason, i just got reminded about jiahui's gorgeous black patent lace-up ankle boots. to her horror, the heel broke and she's only worn it like.. ONCE? it cost $70 and now she has to change it for something else. which, imo, i would have loved to opt for a refund instead if the store would allow it because if i cannot find anything else that i like in the store and i'm forced to take stuff for the sake of doing so (well actually cost there's no choice), it wouldn't make me any happier than i already am. that's not exactly the main reason. the main reason is, i would not be able to stand the humiliation of a heel breaking. :X or at least i think so! *pessimism at work* now i finally know how much the truth hurts when Ailay's sandal strap snapped on her. i bet these things happen to loads of people, and nobody has really made a big fuss about it (i get my sandals or slippers getting thrown off my feet when i'm in the middle of crossing the road). so maybe its just something we live with. but still.. that moment of a heel breaking is NOT supposed to happen! what if she was caught by surprise and suddenly you find one side of your body feels shorter than the other?
aniwae, doo and i watched high sch musical 2 last weekend. its a show i can't imagine the 3year old i teach watching =/ so much of scheming etc. X_X!
and my face has broken out with more deep acne T_T! but i don't have a choice cos that's what the medication is expected to do for me during the 1st 2 months. Ailay and i were discussing the side effects of the medicine, and both of us agreed dryness of everywhere (lips, eyes, arms, legs chin etc..!) was the main issue/side effect. she said her doctor warned her about hurting the liver as one of the side effects, though it has never happened before. while on my side, the "guidebook" to the med states mood swings as the most serious kind of side effect. LOL. we ended up scaring ourselves while shopping yesterday!
ahh. so much joy and fun~ i can't wait to meet her again next week!
