4 days to the start of school :( but i am no longer the student.

doo and i went to sentosa on wed :D and had lunch @ subway & coastes (whee i like their cripsy thin authentically oven-baked pizza!)~~ i tried my hand at golf for the very first time and as usual we went on the luge. what's new was images of singapore (an attraction i always never liked the idea of because of wax figurines which scare me).

golf was surprisingly fun because i was kinda bad at it (thank God for beginner's luck!) haha. nevertheless, i'd definitely go back again.. but climbing up and down the stairs to get to the place and out of it made us fatsos tired X_X still, i must admit it is GOOD EXERCISE! one thing sad about the place was that it wasn't exactly what one'd call well-maintained. the waterfall wasn't working, and there were dried leaves on the ground. in fact, at first sight, doo and i thought the place was deserted and closed! i guess it may be as such because it's one of the less-moneymaking attractions or something like that =/ it is such a pity though, because upon looking at its "ruins", i imagined what the place was like when it first opened, when everything was new and in full function, and of course, splendour.

anyway, doo felt really hawt after golf so he desperately wanted airconditioning. he suggested the carlsberg rotating sky tower thing but i felt it was just a tourist thing cos i'd rather go on the hippo for 30mins than that air-con thing for 10. and i actually never realised he was that desperate for aircon until he suggested going into the images of singapore building, which honestly freaks me out. well, the tour started out fun. first we were led into this room where it looked like a british HQ for a sailing company or something of that sort :X i wanted to take a pic of me pretending to write into a vintage colonial record book kinda thing using a feathered pen but time ran out (yes there was a timer) and when the door opened, ooh there was a stage. that "theatre" was pretty cool cos it was designed like a warehouse (with gunny sacks at the top which i really think were stuffed with cotton!) and i suppose we were the coolies~ haha. just kidding - the aircon was nice and cold though, so there you have it - coolies enjoying the coolness~ well, after a 5min presentation about how the ancestors of today's s'poreans came about, we were led to their wax area. it was okay at the start but as soon as i realised the wax figures could move and blink, i started to get paranoid. before i walked past a soldier in a jungle i'd cover my eyes so i wouldn't have to see anything i didn't want to.. and before i even agreed to walk past him i asked doodoo if there'd be shooting sounds and movement from his arm and gun. :X i cannot imagine how people can hug wax figures X_X!!!

hmm. and i just wanna say i like sitting at coastes and looking at the beach (but that'd make it more difficult for me to admire the authentic oven they have!). maybe one day i'll try sitting at those cushioned beach chairs but i can't help but think about how dirty they could possibly be with the sweat and god knows what of others :X (direct skin contact from them mind you! since most of 'em are clad only in bikinis?). it was quite frustrating to wait for 1/2hour for our food though, to see an hawaiian pizza go into the oven and to see it being given away right in front of your own very eyes, because they served the angmohs first even though they ordered later than us. we didn't say anything about it but the guilty waitress apologised for the LONG wait (i never got the mayo i asked for so i take it as that she's being human and has simply plain forgotten about it, i should understand since i'm infamous for being absentminded). i was initially rather calm about everything, the 1/2hour wait seemed nothing to me because i was in the company of doodoo, but doodoo seemed to mind because i guess he saw the point that its not about how long we wait for the food, but its about principles and the unfairness of the entire situation (esp since i was famished). now that i finally see what he was mad about do i realise once again why i am like a chinese blonde. (s'porean chinese version of a blonde). some points just miss my head.

i think people should get some stuff into their head. some stuff like: "racism isn't just about putting down other races, but its also about favouring some others and thus putting down your own", not that i'm saying we should only favour our own but when things like this happen it just proves to me again that equality is bullcrap in this situation. instead of using favouring i could've used bootlicking but 'nuff about that - i just hope it its the first and last time this happens. speaking of happenings, a major one shocked doodoo :X i was seen eating lettuce for the first time in the 5.5 years that we've know each other. :X actually i am surprised that i actually like it. i must've learnt to eat caesar salad and perhaps the crispy thin pizza when i didn't have a choice but to do so when i made my first visit to coastes with my aunt and cousin :X see what having company does to a person (nothing bad in this case actually~ LOL)!

all in alll, i guess things with golf and images of s'pore weren't as bad as i imagined after all :X its kinda coolie-cool to check out 1-2 new attractions each time we visit the island, and we might as well do since we've signed up for the islander membership. and yay! i really like my hawaiian crispy thin pizza :X its like a biscuit that's coated on the surface with ketchup, fresh pineapples and ham! (i don't know why i remember disliking pizza hut's version though).
