had dinner wif doodoo last nite.. and.. being a collector of the maxim mag, i was surprised to discover that he forgot to purchase the March issue. hahaha :)
so... i bought it for him and hid it in my bag.
he enjoys the joke section the most. and HOHOHO. they gave a copy of a joke book with their March Issue.. that i thoroughly enjoyed too! jokes about (or actually, mocking) marriage, blondes and oldies (some couples grow old gracefully, but not all of them do!). anyway, in case u were wondering, yes, i am convinced that the SGD$6 that was spent on that mag was totally worth it - at least for a couple of laughs.
i bet we all know that maxim is supposedly a men's magazine. but apparently, there's a reasonable number of females reading the mag too (like me! of all people!)
but the funniest, and most amusing part, i find, is that, as much as the maxim editorial team cracks jokes about the marriage, blondes and oldies stuff to create some laughter of everyday life happenings, that i bet makes some
men out there (i don't know who though - but there's all kinds out there) feel that they shouldn't get married, or that they shouldn't marry blondes (because in those jokes, blondes = stupidity), and at the same time possibly suggesting that growing old with the woman who spent the last 30 to 50 years with them may not be too good an idea after all,
men still get married, even to blondes, and they still grow old with women, despite these funny, sickening and i-don't-know-how-to-describe-it jokes that suggest that they should've done otherwise, or should never consider doing!
talk about jokes with the meaning of life involved!
oh yes - this deserves a mention imo. it is a lovely day today, like every other lovely day. the singtel tare panda hello world tour collection is finally completed.
