being greedie.
am supposed to be getting dressed for school now but i cannot think of anything suitable to wear or any bag that is good to carry. no juicy for school because i can't bring myself to put it down on the dirty, dusty floor. and instead of continuing to think of what to wear, i am thinking of all my current wants, 90% available only online:
- juicy couture charms (of lovebirds, a pave strawberry, a pave corn, and a beehive)
- MORE juicy couture charms (mouse&cheese + mouse trap + love letter + gold bar)
- juicy couture frankie starfish sandals (in all 4 colours, if not 3!!)
- juicy couture admiral's daughter bracelet
- juicy couture cupcake box and earrings/heart locket set
- juicy couture viva la juicy perfume 3.4 fl oz
- 5preview cavour oversized tank top
i will get them to me. one by one. or maybe 2 by 2 and 3 by 3. heheheheh!

Greetings from Boston
finally i've skipped from june 18th to almost the end of the first of july in boston.
two weeks have passed, and the amount of shopping i've done is nothing as compared to others (the area under my bed isn't even utilized or filled up yet). however, the amount of $ i've spent on shopping is no less than the others though :X
i've been trying to remember as far as possible about the principle of shopping in boston - to get the things i like regardless of the cost, and not a bunch of cheaper things that i'll live to regret getting because i don't like 'em as much as what i would've been willing to pay more for.
it just gets kinda tempting to get a whole bunch of stuff when everyone else is spending USD$100 buying 6 USD$15 items and 1 USD$10 item.. and here i am spending twice of that total amount on just one juicy bag. and i want several hairbands so bad but they cost SGD$60 each?!?! i don't even know if i'd wear them actually :X woops~
people think i ought to choose my purchases carefully, thing is - i did. it's a velour, high-maint bag but who cares? it's pretty and i love it. what good is a plain bag with the word "adidas" on it? there aren't any daisies or bows or stripes on it!
also, what jiahui said is true - we'll just end up looking for the stuff we don't have. :X so when i was walking past GAP, aeropostale, old navy, american eagle and etc., i started yawning. literally. the clothes in those stores looked the same. they were all plain, or in predictable floral prints. probably the only things that distinguised the items from each of those stores were colours and logos. as those brands failed to excite me, i was left to look elsewhere. i ended up going to the good ol' trusty abercrombie and hollister where my keen feelings of interest in those brands were sorta re-kindled :)
aniwae, i feel so tempted to dye my hair. two girls in my class just dyed theirs in gorgeous reddish and golden-brown tones, and now i'm wondering if i should dye mine jet black. i always loved that jet black look and i love it even more when i look at my light-black hair. blonde or purple would be a good change though. perhaps i should put photoshop to work.
oh and yes, i haven't uploaded any photos because 1) my sony cybershot's with my brother in singapore and i can't find that gorgeous model in the USA -_- 2) some of the pics i took in boston are either in my thumbdrive or on facebook.
so well, all i have here are words and words make me sleep. been yawning like mad in lectures, to the extent that i feel so paisae about my consecutive yawns especially since i want to listen to what is being said in class. hm. other than going for lectures, we'll be visiting museums, going for arty farty shows, and eating loads of chinese food! there's a chinese restaurant near the school that serves deeliciouss soup and orange-flavoured beef and fresh prawns. it's LOVE and i don't mind paying USD8+ for it even though the portion is like SG's portion. in fact, charlotte and i have not shared anything yet - except for a bowl of mango basil chicken at an indian restaurant. at all other times, we could finish our food. perhaps it's because we eat just 2 meals a day.
there's too much to sum up in a single blogpost, but here's just a couple of highlights of the previous 2 weeks:
- visit to a Head Start programme.
- visit to a Bright Horizons programme.
- Life is Good carnival! (our jumpshot photo is displayed in their store on newbury street! woohoo!)
- Salem Witch Museum
- John F. Kennedy Museum (watching and reading about his life, all that he inspired and about his assasination just made me so sad).
some quotes I liked, found in the John F. Kennedy's Museum:
"safeguard the rights of individuals from all who are against them", which reminds me so much of the importance of inclusion of children and persons with special needs.
"Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought", which reminds me that it's okay to accept the views of others', but it is crucial that we THINK about what actually makes sense.
and the following is what inspired Charlotte to purchase a book written by John F. Kennedy - Profiles of Courage.
"In whatever arena of life, one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience - the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men - each man must decide for himself the course he will follow." John F. Kennedy
it's getting late here, with a 12 hour difference, so i am going to bed. i'm missing everyone in singapore - family and friends, more than anything else that's available in SG.
it has been said that time flies, and i hope that holds true in this case. when i'm back, i'll be just in time for doodoo's 23rd birthday, and i cannot wait for the day when i can see and hug him again. mel would also be back on the 27th of July as well, so that's perfect timing :) loads of stuff to look forward to!
take care, with loads of love and my dearest regards,
Abby
